New Trademark Act has entered into force as of 01 May 2004 (instead of previous «Trade Mark Act» of 01 October 1992). The Act on Protection of Geographical Indications (entered into force on 10 January 2000). The Patent Act (entered into force on 23 May 1994). Amended on 1 January 2000 (provisions concerning additional protection for plant protection products and medicinal products were included into the Patent Act). The Utility Model Act (entered into force on 1 July 2000) instead of previous Utility Model Act (of 23 May 1994), which lost its force. The Design Act (entered into force on 11 January 1998). The Layout-design of Integrated Circuit Act (entered into force on 16 March 1999). The Competition Act (entered into force on 1 October 1998). The Copyright Act (entered into force on 12 December 1992, amended in 1998 and 1999 to harmonize it with EU legislation).
